WELCOME TO THE

The asc(s was founded to support application-oriented research in the automotive field through the use of information and communication technology. In this context, the transfer of know-how from science to industry in the field of numerical simulation is the declared objective. For this purpose selected research and development projects as well as contract research will be conducted in order to develop new strategies for the reduction of CO2 emissions.

”Teamwork at eye level is rare these days. At the asc(s it's just normal.“

Prof. Erich Schelkle, Managing Director of the asc(s

As research facility with the combined knowledge derived from members of industry and science as well as its own know-how, the asc(s assumes the automobile-related functions of the projects in the fields of simulation, verification and validation, therefore ensuring the industrial implementation of the developed simulation methods.

This will be achieved by the following activities:

Conception and implementation of research projects for the improvement of numerical simulation methods and the creation of models for the solution of interdisciplinary technical issues, especially if they place high demands on computing power.

Transfer of the results of basic research to industry for the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of modelling and simulation as well as the method-oriented support of users.

Improvement of simulation programs for the efficient use of high-performance computers and their applications.
