simpulseday SIMULATION MEETS REALITY

The automotive CAE Grand Challenge stimulates the dialog between users, scientists and software developers in order to solve challenges which prevent a “100% digital prototyping”.

The challenges for 2016 were determined through a web-based survey among the CAE experts of the international automotive industry in October 2015. The Automotive Simulation Center Stuttgart was the joint organizer of the SpecialSession: Comparing simulation and test – results visualization. As industrial keynote speaker Eric DeHoff from the asc(s member Honda R&D Americas, Inc. presented industrial requirements and newest techniques in the field of visualizing crash simulation results using photo-realistic rendering. Other speakers came from Fraunhofer IOF and SCAI, DLR Institut für Fahrzeugkonzepte, CEI and the new asc(s member SCALE.
