Within the 11th European LS-DYNA Conference 2017 which took place from 9-11 May the Automotive Simulation Center Stuttgart held the simpulseday “Crash Analysis for Electric & Autonomous Cars”.

This pre-conference workshop aimed to discuss new solutions for future challenges of electro mobility and autonomous driving and show the potential for starting new method development projects. In the morning right before the LS-DYNA Conference the asc(s welcomed about 60 participants to the fully booked workshop in the congress center of Salzburg. During the first part of the workshop asc(s General Manager, Mr. Alexander F. Walser introduced to the topic and gave an overview of new developments. The second part consisted of an interactive session which was an open discussion regarding future requirements for electric and autonomous cars. After collecting the feedbacks during the discussion the participants derived a mind map. The information and new foundings from the mind map are basis for concrete projects which the asc(s will initiate with the relevant project partners.
