JOIN ASCS
Is joining an association worth it? It’s a valid question, especially in an era where disruptive technologies are rapidly reshaping the world.
Associations offer orientation, fast knowledge transfer, and a trusted space for collaboration.
Ideally, they also empower businesses to strengthen their position and develop new business models through collective efforts and shared initiatives. Under these circumstances, involvement in an association is not just advantageous - it’s essential and a key aspect of corporate responsibility.
But how can my company or organization assess whether an association meets these criteria?
This important question is relatively easy to answer by looking closely at how the association positions itself and with which concept it creates the best conditions to fulfill precisely the central arguments.
So take a look at our ASCS-specific
arguments below.

How does a membership work?
The membership fee covers the organization of ASCS’s basic member activities. Members pay an annual fee for the selected membership model and a non-recurring admission fee when joining. The exact fees vary depending on the membership category and the number of employees in companies or institutions.
ASCS members benefit from free or discounted access to ASCS and partner events, with some activities being exclusively available to members.
In return, members commit to actively contributing to the community. This may include participating in events and webinars, contributing to publications (scientific papers, white papers, position papers, or blog and social media posts), or engaging in projects and working groups.
Members are also expected to provide input in the form of requirements, research questions, or their latest technologies and scientific findings.
The level of engagement is up to each member, but those who contribute more actively clearly gain more benefits from the community. Additionally, members are expected to uphold the values of
openness, collaboration, and innovation.
